
Beena George
Beena George is a professor in the Cameron School of Business at the University of St. Thomas–Houston. She has served the university since 2003 and previously held senior leadership roles, including Dean of the Cameron School of Business from 2013 to 2019 and Chief Innovation Officer from 2019 to 2022. In these roles, she led major initiatives in program incubation, entrepreneurship, and strategic partnerships that strengthened institutional capability and advanced student success. She will return to the deanship at the business school in January 2026 after a period devoted to full-time teaching and leadership of a university-wide accreditation project.
Beena’s academic and professional work focuses on business strategy, business model innovation, and the effective use of technology in decision-making. Her recent interests include strategic applications of artificial intelligence in business and the use of business intelligence and analytics to support managerial judgment. Beena holds a Ph.D. in business administration from the University of Houston, a postgraduate degree in business administration from the Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta, and a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Kerala, India.
