Who We Are

The American Network for Innovation, Inc. (ANI) is a Florida-based, non-profit, tax-exempt organization recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. ANI is dedicated to advancing Innovation Management as a strategic capability that drives competitiveness, productivity, and sustainable economic growth for organizations across the United States.

A core part of this mission is supporting U.S. participation and leadership in international innovation standards.

ISO Technical Committee 279 (Innovation Management)

ISO Technical Committee 279 (TC 279) is responsible for developing and maintaining international standards that provide organizations with a common language, principles, and frameworks for managing innovation in a systematic and effective manner. The work of TC 279 supports organizations of all sizes and sectors in building innovation capabilities that enhance resilience, competitiveness, and long-term value creation.

Our Role in ISO TC 279

ANI administers the ANSI-accredited United States Technical Advisory Group (U.S. TAG) to ISO TC 279 – Innovation Management Systems. In this role, ANI:
  • Coordinates U.S. stakeholder participation in ISO TC 279 activities.

  • Facilitates consensus-building on U.S. positions and comments.

  • Supports expert engagement in international working groups.

  • Strengthens U.S. leadership in global innovation standards.
